Behavioral Health Clinic is hiring a Psychotherapist – In Training to start in 2021 (start date flexible). This is a full-time salaried position with starting range of $35,000 to $40,000 based upon education, experience, and full-time status (open to other arrangements by negotiation). Current Wisconsin In Training license in Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy is required. Exceptional candidates seeking a pre-internship practicum and/or an internship experience who otherwise meet the requirements shall be considered.

Psychotherapists – In Training at BHC will gain supervised training experience in providing individual, couple, family, and/or group psychotherapy services to clients in a group private practice setting. Frequent referrals at BHC include mood and anxiety disorders, childhood behavioral disorders, eating disorders, and adjustment disorders. Treatment groups are currently offered for Social Skills and Dialectical Behavior Skills, with opportunities for In Training therapists to offer new groups based on interests and developing competencies. Psychotherapists – In Training also have the opportunity to gain supervised experience in psychological testing for a variety of referral questions including ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental disorders, executive and cognitive functioning, anxiety and mood disorders, and pre-adoption evaluations.
This position is designed for current master’s program graduates looking for a placement to complete licensure supervision requirements. Candidates must obtain the LPC-IT licensure in Wisconsin by the start date of the position. This position is ideal for professionals who plan to pursue a career in private or small group practice. We are also dedicated to training interns in business practices that will help them establish a strong practice after psychologist licensure, including marketing, establishing and maintaining collaborative referral relationships, and working with private insurance. The clinic may be able to accommodate two highly qualified In Training therapists.
